We keep intensifying the raid from day by day
The officers started down from Silang Barat Monas to ex-IRTI
field. On that occasion, they managed to secure dozens of stalls such as
tables, benches and two sacks containing merchandise belonging to street
vendors in some places.
"We keep intensifying the raid from day by day.
Previously, we can secure merchandises belonging to street vendors using two to
three trucks. No wonder, the existence of street vendors already begun to
decline," said Head of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Maruli Sijabat, Tuesday
(12/9) afternoon.
He added, in the short term, the raid will be carried out
until the end of the year and is situational. "If the situation is
conducive, the street vendors in Monas can certainly be reduced. But the security
must also be tightened," he uttered.
